I'm a Boston-based journalist with extensive experience covering health and fitness for major media outlets. I've held staff positions at LIVESTRONG.com, Health.com, Prevention, and The Huffington Post. I've worked with a range of freelance clients, including the Washington Post, TIME, Outside, Men's Health, Runner's World, and Harvard Health Publishing. I'm a graduate of the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at New York University and a National Academy of Sports Medicine-certified personal trainer. I moderated a SXSW panel on accessibility in fitness in 2022, and I completed the National Press Foundation 2020 Vaccine Boot Camp and the 2019 Mayo Clinic Journalist Residency.
I strive to deliver trusted, relatable, accessible health information to readers of all backgrounds. I believe discrimination of any kind is a public health issue, and I am committed to working toward equity for excluded and marginalized groups through inclusive health information and representation.
I'm currently open to new freelance opportunities, including in writing, editing, SEO, fact-checking, communications, health literacy, and more. I look forward to working together!
